Miss A booked a Boudoir photoshoot to create a beautiful wedding gift for her fiance. Here is her feedback about the whole experienceโฆ
Prior to booking your session with Valerie, what hesitations did you have about doing a boudoir shoot?: I have never done anything like this before and so felt a bit self-conscious initially. I generally don't take regular photos, let alone professional, boudoir style!
What was your own personal reason for wanting to have a boudoir session? Was your session a gift for anyone special, or just for yourself?: The session will be a gift for my partner, but also I think for me to see myself a little more the way he sees me.
How did your session with Valerie differ from what you were expecting before entering our studio?: I didn't really know what to expect. I had no idea what to do, but Valerie was fantastic at suggesting posing and she was always energetic and encouraging.
What was your favorite part of the boudoir experience?: I think just the overall getting dressed up in different pieces - I rarely do my make up or dress up so it was fun.
Other than beautiful photos, of course, what else did you take away from your boudoir experience? What type of impact did it have on you?: I felt like I'd really accomplished something because it was way out of my regular comfort zone.
Now that you are officially a Boudoir girl, if you could give advice to any woman reading this who is on the fence about booking a session, what would you tell her?: Everyone has their own insecurities - none of us are 'perfect'. I certainly don't have some perfect body - I'm sensitive about my mid section (front and back), my skin isn't always so clear, I don't have a nice tan or beautiful porcelain skin and I definitely have cellulite you can see from afar. I was very aware of all of this going into the session, but it all fell away and I just enjoyed myself so much. If you're hesitant because of your looks - this is a reason TO DO IT! You will see and feel another side to you.
